Viitorul Constanta’s sporting director says Ianis Hagi “didn’t deserve” the treatment he got from Fiorentina.
The winger, son of Romanian legend Gheorghe, joined the Viola in the summer of 2016 but made only two appearances before returning to Viitorul in January.
“In the past year-and-a-half in Italy he’s improved physically and mentally,” Cristian Bivolaru told Digi Sport.
“A different Ianis has come back, but he has a lot of work to do to get match sharp.
“I think neither he nor his father Gheorghe deserved such treatment from Fiorentina, no-one forced him to go Fiorentina or vice-versa.
“He was wanted.”
