Bryan Cristante says Atalanta have respect for Borussia Dortmund but “never fear”.
The Orobici face the German giants in the first leg of their Europa League Last 32 tie tomorrow, getting the chance to walk out before the famous yellow wall.
“Let’s go there to destroy it,” Cristante declared, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I’ve never seen it live and I have a certain anticipation. I remember the displays I’ve seen on social media, the one with the binoculars was crazy.
“Are we afraid? No, never fear. If we can play on par with the big teams in Italy we can play on par with them too.
“They have intensity and their attack struck me, they’re very quick and technical, they know how to get into the box and score goals. Their strength is up-front, a lot less so at the back.
“Danger men? Marco Reus, who has just returned, and Andre Schurrle. But we’ll attack them as always.”
Atalanta have already played at Lyon and Everton, what would be the dream route to the Europa League final?
“I like Celtic’s stadium [Celtic Park] they sing for the whole game there, it’s 90 minutes of concert. Then Belgrade, everyone has told me when Red Star play it’s a spectacle.
“Madrid too, I’ve been to the old Calderon but I haven’t been to [Atletico Madrid’s] new one.”
