Giant-killers Pordenone have sacked Coach Leonardo Colucci just weeks after holding Inter to a draw at San Siro.

The Serie C outfit had a strong run in the Coppa Italia this season, eliminating Pippo Inzaghi’s Venezia, Lecce and top flight team Cagliari.

This set up a Round of 16 trip to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, where they held Inter to a 0-0 draw on December 12 and were only knocked out on penalties.

Despite that being just two months ago, Pordenone have now sacked Coach Colucci and his assistant manager Gianni Migliorini.

“The decision was inevitable,” said President Mauro Lovisa.

“After the defeat to FeralpiSalò there was no reaction. We apologise to the fans for the performance. Now we have to roll our sleeves up and start again.”
