Lucas Leiva has “already scored against Steaua Bucharest” and believes Lazio can rediscover their confidence in the Europa League.
The first leg in the Round of 32 kicks off in Bucharest on Thursday at 20.05 GMT.
“Tomorrow Lazio must be concentrated, as if we get a good result in Romania, we’ll be in a very strong position to qualify for the next phase,” said the midfielder in his Press conference.
“I already scored against Steaua Bucharest for Liverpool.”
The Aquile have lost three Serie A games in a row, dropping from third place to fifth.
“Football always offers you a new opportunity with the next match and this is a chance for us to change our recent trend, as we are not going through a good period of form.
“We did very well in the first half against Napoli, but weren’t at the same level after the break and it’s always difficult to stop Napoli once they start passing it around.
“We have to look forward now and I think we still maintain a lot of faith in our team. We’ve proved that if we play well, we can beat anyone. We just have to keep focused on ourselves.
“If we get a good result and performance tomorrow, the confidence will increase to spark another period of positive results.”
