Inter medical staff confirm Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic are “unlikely” to be fit enough to face Genoa on Saturday evening.
It kicks off at Marassi on Saturday at 19.45 GMT, click here for a match preview.
“Icardi and Perisic trained separately from the rest of the squad,” chief medic Piero Volpi told Mediaset Premium.
“They are feeling better and any evaluation is postponed until tomorrow. It’s unlikely they’ll play against Genoa, but I am happy because their condition is improving.
“They have two different injury issues and I think both will be available next week. Joao Miranda had an extension of the adductor muscle, similar to Icardi. He will have physiotherapy this week, then we’ll see to get him back against Benevento.
“The most important thing is not to run risks, as the objective is not to risk the interests of the club or the players.”
