Alessandro Diamanti will resume his playing career with Serie B side Perugia after agreeing personal terms.
The forward, who turns 35 in May, has been a free agent since his contract with Palermo expired in August 2017.
According to multiple sources, Diamanti is on his way to Perugia in order to sign the contract to the end of the season.
His career has seen him travel all over the world, playing for the likes of Livorno, West Ham United, Bologna, Fiorentina, Watford, Atalanta and Guangzhou Evergrande.
The free kick specialist had been linked with a possible move to MLS.
