Leeds United want Mbakogu

Leeds United are lining up a summer bid worth €5.1m for Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu, claim English papers.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Championship club is ready to offer £4.5m for the pacey centre-forward.

The Nigerian striker can also play on the right or left wing of attack.

So far this season in Serie B, Mbakogu has scored six goals with three assists in 19 games, netting another two in two Coppa Italia fixtures.

He has spent most of his career in Italy, save for a brief spell on loan to KS Samara in 2016.

Mbakogu is most famous in Italy for missing two penalties in a single Serie A game against Lazio in May 2016.
