Dodo is ready to sign for Santos, on loan from Sampdoria, after passing a medical in Brazil.

The Blucerchiati will not pocket any cash from the loan deal, but Santos will cover his wages until the end of the season.

It is reported in UOL.com that the left-back accepted a pay cut to help the move go through.

The transfer has been ready for some time, but was delayed by extensive medical tests and haggling over the option to buy.

It’s believed they eventually settled on €1.5m.
