The 22-year-old had seven competitive appearances for the club this season, but has struggled with the “persistent inflammation of the tendon in his left knee.”
It has been decided to intervene surgically in order to resolve the problem once and for all.
He went under the knife today for an operation that lasted 40 minutes.
