The Aquile are still fighting on three fronts, as they face Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday, then Dinamo Kiev in the Europa League Round of 16.

“I am convinced there is no physical fatigue, but there could be some mental strain. I like to think that is mainly for those who don’t have clear objectives in front of them,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We have many objectives and can take it one game at a time.”

However, with the 5-1 victory over FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday evening, Inzaghi does confirm some squad rotation.

“I intend to change a few things against Sassuolo. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Stefan Radu will definitely start, because they didn’t play on Thursday.

“Sassuolo have good individuals and a very smart Coach in Beppe Iachini, so we must be concentrated and precise. We’ve got to give 120 per cent.

“We are working to concede fewer goals, as we score a great deal, but also have a poor defensive record. Considering the quality of defenders in the team, we have to do better there,

“Ciro Immobile is doing remarkable things, as in 18 months he has already surged into the top 10 all-time Lazio goal-scorers. I think he settled perfectly and he’ll keep on scoring for Lazio for many years. He is our leader.”

Lazio have been paired with Dinamo Kiev in the Europa League Round of 16.

“There were tougher teams on paper, but they are well-organised and are right up there with Shakhtar Donetsk. We’ll see in 15 days, we’ll have time to think about Dinamo.”

Mauro Zarate confessed he wants a return to Lazio and is in contact with old teammate Inzaghi.

“We do speak on the phone and with text messages. I was in London to visit my son and met Mauro in a restaurant, so we got chatting about old times. When he talks about Lazio, his eyes light up.”
