Roberto Donadoni said Bologna “mustn’t make the mistake of assuming we are already safe” after beating Genoa 2-0.

Mattia Destro was decisive by scoring one and setting up the other on a silver platter for Cesar Falletti, giving the Rossoblu their second consecutive victory.

“We must continue to be compact with this type of mentality, as we earned an important victory against a strong team,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“We must continue to be compact with this type of mentality, as we earned an important victory against a strong team,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“At times we play well, at others we struggle. It wasn’t easy today against a Genoa side in great shape, but the lads deserve the credit.

“They were a little too timorous at the start, but gave a strong response. I remain convinced that Destro can do even better and be more consistent. Even when he wasn’t scoring goals, he was still important to the team.

“There are 12 games to go and that means 36 points are up for grabs. We mustn’t make the mistake of assuming we are already safe.”
