Roma sporting director Monchi reportedly wants Eusebio Di Francesco to stay on as Coach, but President James Pallotta may have other ideas.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Monchi and Pallotta are currently in the US to take stock of Roma’s season and plan for the forthcoming campaign.

The newspaper explains the Spaniard is “convinced by the good work” done by Di Francesco and “wants to build a team around his ideas”.

However, Pallotta could opt to sack the former Sassuolo boss if the Giallorossi fail to qualify for the Champions League this term.

Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat to Milan left the Lupi a point behind fourth-placed Inter.
