According to today’s Corriere dello Sport, both Milinkovic-Savic and Jorginho are on the shortlist, though they’re being earmarked for different roles.

The Serbian is seen as being able to fulfil the role Frank Lampard did in Mourinho’s first Chelsea team, bursting into the box and scoring goals.

Jorginho, meanwhile, would replace Carrick as a deep-lying creative force in the United midfield.

Other options for the midfield include Jean-Michel Seri, Victor Wanyama and the dream signing, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos.
