Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi calls Dynamo Kiev “a tough opponent that should not be underestimated”, pointing to their European pedigree.
The Aquile take on the Ukrainian side at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow, in the first match of their Europa League Last 16 clash.
“Dynamo Kiev are a team with great tradition,” Inzaghi warned in his pre-match Press conference.
“I face them in the Champions League in 2001, they defend as a bloc and they are excellent on the counter-attack.
“The first leg is very important, we’ll have to be good tomorrow because it won’t be easy next week, we know exactly the kind of atmosphere we’ll find.
“Dynamo Kiev are a certainty on a European level, they’ve been playing in these competitions for so many years, they have internationals and top individuals.
“We’ll have to play the game without discovering too much about their counter-attacks.
“We’ve felt the fans close to us in the last two games, against Milan and Juve the Curva pushed us from the start to the end.
“We need them tomorrow, if we get past Dynamo Kiev we’ll be in the quarter-finals.”
Inzaghi has rotated heavily in this competition so far, will that continue tomorrow?
“We’ve played a lot, but the values of the lads are very good. I still need to see training today and tomorrow morning before I decide. I’ll see who will give me the most guarantees.
“I’ll have to evaluate things, with the exceptions of [Martin] Caceres I’m spoiled for choice, the whole squad is available.
“I’ll see which 11 players to send on to the pitch.”
