Iachini: 'SPAL important, not decisive'

Beppe Iachini insists Sassuolo’s relegation showdown with SPAL is “important, but not decisive” for their future.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“It’s important, but not decisive. I hope the crowd will give us a big hand, because we need it at this moment when things aren’t particularly going our way,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

These sides are locked together on 23 points, though SPAL have played an extra game, and they are both only two points clear of the bottom three.

“We must get back to being the usual team with character, determination, clear ideas and above all finding the net again.”

Domenico Berardi is suspended, while Alessandro Matri remains a huge doubt through injury.

“We’ll decide on Matri a few hours before the match begins.”
