Lautaro Martinez admits Inter’s interest in him is ‘a great thing’ after being called up to the Argentina squad for their friendly against Italy.
Inter have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Martinez this summer, while the Racing Club attacker is one of five local players called up by Jorge Sampaoli to face Italy and Spain in two weeks’ time.
“It’s great thing that foreign clubs are looking at me,” the 20-year-old told Telefe Noticias.
“Now I’m taking advantage of everything that I’m experiencing at this great club. I feel a great responsibility towards the fans, coaches and my teammates.
“Role model? I’ve always admired Radamel Falcao for his movement and the things he does on the pitch.
“As for an Argentine, I must say that the quality of each of them is incredible, especially those playing in Europe. We must always seize the moments we live in.”
