Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson insists there was “nothing concrete” from Manchester United last season.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but he remained with the Biancocelesti and is back in the team after a tendon problem.
“Only the Press spoke about it,” Felipe Anderson shrugged when asked by Lance about the interest from the Red Devils.
“There was nothing concrete which came to either the club or the people who take care of my career.
“Nobody came to me directly to tell me anything. I’m 100 per cent focused on playing for Lazio and I want to do my best to help my team.”
Lazio are in Ukraine today as they look to overturn a 2-2 draw from the first leg of their Europa League Last 16 game with Dynamo Kiev.
“If they’ve reached this stage of the Europa League then they have to be respected, just as all the teams in the competition should be respected.
“We have to be very attentive, we know they’ll be very nervous too, the team which makes the fewer mistakes will go through - and I hope it’s Lazio!”
