However, the newspaper notes an investigation into whether the chants the Italian was complaining about were of a discriminatory nature has been shelved.

Nice described the situation via their Twitter account and President Jean-Pierre Rivere also vented his anger with referee Nicolas Rainville, claiming his club were ‘playing 11 against 12’.
