Crotone’s sporting director claims his club tried to sign Roma sensation Cengiz Under two years ago.
Cengiz was considered something of an unknown quantity when he joined Roma last summer, but the Turkish attacker has gone on to become one of Serie A’s star performers.
“We watched him two years ago and wanted to take him to Crotone,” Giuseppe Ursino told Romagiallorossa.it.

“We watched him two years ago and wanted to take him to Crotone,” Giuseppe Ursino told Romagiallorossa.it.
“However, we also knew that he wanted to join a great club and he eventually did. He needed a period of adaptation, but now he understands Italian football and is now playing in a divine way.
“With him, Schick and many others, I think Roma can reach the semi-finals of the Champions League and certainly finish in the top four.”
