Sassuolo boss Beppe Iachini believes their win away to Udinese was fair reward after “so many unjust defeats.”

The Neroverdi conquered the Dacia Arena 2-1 for their first Serie A victory since December.

“We interpreted the game well and over the last few weeks had picked up less than we deserved in terms of performance,” Iachini told Sky Sport Italia.

“We interpreted the game well and over the last few weeks had picked up less than we deserved in terms of performance,” Iachini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Today we came to Udine well-prepared and managed to keep a high tempo throughout. We’ve now got to pick up as many points as possible in our mini-tournament at the foot of the table. Feet are firmly on the ground, we’re nowhere near out of the woods yet.

“I am happy for the team, which was able to celebrate three points after so many unjust defeats. I don’t think our current position in the table reflects our performances this season, but we have to go forward with the spirit I saw today.”
