It’s reported that Napoli are back in for Bologna's Simone Verdi, with the transfer very close to completion.
The Partenopei wanted to sign the forward in January, but he didn’t want to leave the Rossoblu mid-season.
Napoli then turned their attentions to Amin Younes of Ajax, who agreed to sign on a free transfer, but it appears he has changed his mind, with the potential for a legal battle ahead.
Now Corriere dello Sport is reporting that the Vesuviani are back in for Verdi, reconfirming their offer of €22m plus bonuses.
The newspaper believes that this time there is agreement from all parties, so the deal is 90 per cent complete.
A transfer cannot officially be completed until the transfer window re-opens, but it appears very likely that Verdi will now join Napoli.
