Juventus have announced that Giorgio Chiellini’s injury is “nothing serious”, so he should be back for Milan and Real Madrid.
The centre-back went off injured against Spal on Saturday, and was forced to pull out of the Italy squad with a thigh injury.
It was initially feared that he would miss the first leg of the Champions League Quarter-Final, but the Bianconeri have offered reassurances today.
“Giorgio Chiellini has undergone tests on the muscular injury to his right thigh flexors, sustained in the match against Spal and because of which he yesterday left the training camp of the national team,” a statement on Juve’s official website begins.
“What has emerged is a situation which is nothing serious but which, however, requires daily monitoring.
“The player has already started physiotherapy and will be re-evaluated next week.”
