It’s reported Gennaro Gattuso could sign his Milan renewal next week, ahead of the Juventus game.

The former midfielder replaced Vincenzo Montella on the Rossoneri bench in November, but he’s still on the same contract he had to coach the Primavera team.

That makes him the lowest-paid Coach in Serie A, on €120,000 per season, so the club are keen to tie him to a better deal.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that CEO Marco Fassone should be able to sit down with Gattuso next week, possibly Thursday, to officially agree on a new deal.

Ringhio will sign until 2020, with his salary to be boosted tenfold to around €1.2m per season.

The deal could therefore be agreed before the Rossoneri face Juventus, but even if it isn’t a new contract for Gattuso is only a formality.
