It’s reported that Andrea Pirlo could take a role in the Italy coaching setup, though it could depend on who the CT is.

The midfielder retired at the end of last year, having finished his playing days in MLS with New York City FC.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that his next move could be to join the coaching staff at Coverciano, having won the World Cup with the Azzurri in 2006.

Pirlo would be happy to work alongside either Antonio Conte or Carlo Ancelotti, should either of those men be appointed as CT.

He could even come in to the setup before that though, working with caretaker CT Luigi Di Biagio.

Pirlo won 116 caps for Italy, scoring 13 goals. The last of those came against Mexico in the Maracana, on the occasion of his 100th cap.
