Former Serie A star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has terminated his Manchester United contract and is due to sign for LA Galaxy.

The Swedish legend will forever be associated with Italian football after his successful spells at Juventus, Inter and Milan.

He also played in Spain for Barcelona, in France for Paris Saint-Germain and went to England for Manchester United in the summer of 2016.

The 36-year-old recovered from a serious knee injury, but had only seven appearances this season, scoring one goal.

“Manchester United confirms that it has agreed to the termination of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract with immediate effect,” read a statement.

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future.”

Ibra is widely believed to be on the verge of signing for MLS club LA Galaxy.
