Andriy Shevchenko is currently the Coach of Ukraine, but the former Milan and Chelsea star admits he’d like “a club job” at some point.

The ex-striker was placed in charge of his country’s national team, despite having very little management experience.

“Right now I am concentrated on Ukraine, but looking forward I would like a club job, because you get more done when working with players every day,” Sheva told Sky Sport Italia.

“Right now I am concentrated on Ukraine, but looking forward I would like a club job, because you get more done when working with players every day,” Sheva told Sky Sport Italia.

“I would like to build a winning squad and play good football. I like to play with quick passes, opening the spaces, keeping aggressive and high pressing.

“I am on my path and there’s a long road before people recognise me fully as a Coach. The objective is to win and create an important project, so if someone has my same ambitions and wants to work in my way, that is my idea of football.”

Shevchenko has enough experience on the field to understand his current players.

“I had difficult moments in my career. When I was at Milan and returned from injury, things weren’t going well and I was struggling to play. Then I started to find my path and we won something.

“When everything is going well, you don’t appreciate it as much. When you go through difficulties, get back on your feet and win again, you appreciate that far more.”
