Massimo Moratti feels Inter are “impoverished” by losing Walter Sabatini, but is “not thinking about” buying into the club again.

Sabatini had been hired last summer as technical co-ordinator for the two Suning-owned clubs, Inter and Jiangsu Suning, but terminated his contract by mutual consent today.

“I don’t know much about what happened. Sabatini was a valuable figure with great experience, so the club is impoverished without him, but he must’ve had his reasons,” former patron Moratti told TeleLombardia.

“Suning will have the strength to go on and I’m sure we Inter fans have no reason to be worried.”

Moratti was asked if he was tempted to buy back some of his shares from Suning or Erick Thohir.

“At this moment, I am not thinking about that. The current shareholders have the strength to carry everything forward.”
