Ajax winger Amin Younes signed a contract with Napoli, but reports in Germany suggest he’s agreed terms with Wolfsburg instead.

According to Sport 1, the player has been in advanced negotiations with Wolfsburg and will sign a four-year deal next week.

The transfer saga is likely to drag on for many more months and could result in a court case.

Younes was meant to make the move in January, but postponed it due to “personal reasons” and has since gone increasingly cold on the idea of joining at all.

His agent in Italy insisted over the last 48 hours there was no truth in De Telegraaf reports that the German international was put off by seeing the city and even an encounter with members of the local Mafia.

The representative also confirmed Younes has already signed a five-year contract with Napoli and it has been deposited with the Lega Serie A.
