“Making changes sometimes go right, sometimes they go wrong,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“I remember the first Scudetto at Milan, we had the likes of Antonio Cassano, Alexandre Pato and Kevin-Prince Boateng. A year later, I didn’t have any reserves to call on and was left high and dry at the 60th minute.

“At times you need to throw someone into the mix and create some organised chaos.”

Allegri will have to make some changes in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid, as Miralem Pjanic and Medhi Benatia are suspended.

“Either Claudio Marchisio or Rodrigo Bentancur will start in midfield.”
