It has been a troubled time for the Viola, who lost captain Astori a month ago when he went to sleep in the team hotel ahead of a match with Udinese and never woke up.
With unity in mind, the club organised an Easter Day event for all the players, staff and their families at the training ground that has just been renamed in honour of Astori.

It was also the opportunity to mark director and club legend Giancarlo Antognoni’s 64th birthday.
As is often the case when there are many South American players involved, it turned into a huge 120-person ‘Asado’ barbecue.
