“Now we have to continue our journey. I promise to work hard and bring Milan back where it belongs. There’s a lot of pressure, but that doesn’t trouble me.
“I want to thank (CEO Marco) Fassone and (director of sport Massimiliano) Mirabelli, as this summer they had the idea of calling me for the Primavera job and I owe everything to them.
“I thank everyone at the Milanello training ground and the lads I’ve coached so far. If I signed this contract, it is thanks to them.”
Gattuso was a hero to fans as a midfielder, winning the Scudetto, Champions League and more.
“I can sing every fan chant about Milan. It’s the team I support and I am honoured to be its Coach.”
