“We’ve got three important games coming up in just over a week, so we’ve got to churn out the points and show confidence to achieve our objective of European qualification,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’s an important match for both teams. Beating Inter would give us a real boost and we are highly-motivated, but so are they. This is the kind of fixture that is eagerly awaited all year in Bergamo and on top of that we’ve got targets to aim for as well.

“Inter are solid, don’t lose often and are having a good campaign. They deserve to be in the fight for a Champions League spot. I think Luciano Spalletti has done fine work.”

Atalanta are missing several key players, as Josip Ilicic and Leonardo Spinazzola are injured, with striker Andrea Petagna suspended.

Andreas Cornelius and Jose Luis Palomino only resumed training on Friday, so there could be a surprise start for 19-year-old forward Musa Barrow.

“The key will be replacing Petagna. I have different solutions, as I could start Barrow or Cornelius, maybe even both with Papu Gomez.”

Atalanta squad for Inter: Berisha, Gollini, Rossi; Bastoni, Caldara, Mancini, Masiello, Toloi; Castagne, Cristante, Gosens, Haas, De Roon, Freuler, Hateboer, Melegoni; Barrow, Gomez, Cornelius, Elia
