Chievo Coach Rolando Maran saw “the glass half-full” after holding Torino to a stalemate and shrugged off rumours of the sack.

The Flying Donkeys were pinned back in the first half, but did better after the break until Mattia Bani’s red card.

“We should look at the glass as half-full, considering the way the game started and the difficulties we were in,” Maran told Sky Sport Italia.

“We should look at the glass as half-full, considering the way the game started and the difficulties we were in,” Maran told Sky Sport Italia.

“The performance improved as time went on and that is a very important aspect. We kept a clean sheet, which hadn’t happened in a while. I saw some positive signs.”

Chievo are still hovering just above the relegation zone and reports continue that Maran could be axed if things don’t improve quickly.

“We Coaches have to be accustomed to this. I am focused only on my team.”
