Walter Zenga had complaints about the match-winning Genoa goal, but insists Crotone will fight to stay in Serie A to the bitter end.

They capitulated 1-0 at Marassi to a Daniel Bessa header.

“In the first half we got too many passes wrong, even playing out of defence. We were essentially causing our own problems,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“After the break, we did much better and were also unlucky, for example when Federico Ricci hit the crossbar.

“After the break, we did much better and were also unlucky, for example when Federico Ricci hit the crossbar.

“On the goal, there was a clear Andrey Galabinov foul on Marco Faraoni. We got the offside trap wrong, but the foul was very obvious, even if VAR didn’t intervene.”

This result effectively ruled Genoa out of the relegation battle and Crotone remain in the bottom three.

“The season doesn’t end this weekend and we’ll fight to the bitter end. The team is alive and kicking.”
