Nikola Kalinic is expected to start up front for Milan against Napoli, who have Raul Albiol and Jorginho back.

This afternoon’s Serie A clash at the San Siro is a vital one for both teams, with the hosts needing a win to harbour any hopes of securing a Champions League place and the Partenopei still in the hunt for the Scudetto.

And Rossoneri boss Rino Gattuso will have to do without the services of captain Leonardo Bonucci, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card in last week’s match with Sassuolo.

Bonucci’s fellow defender Alessio Romagnoli is also out after suffering an injury in the same game.

As such, it looks as if the Diavolo will line-up with a central defensive pairing of Cristian Zapata and Mateo Musacchio.

The other significant team news is that further forward, it appears Kalinic will win the race to start ahead of forwards Andre Silva and Patrick Cutrone. It is a remarkable turnaround for the Croatian, who appeared to be on his way out of the San Siro a matter of weeks ago.

For Maurizio Sarri’s visitors, defender Mario Rui is suspended but centre-back Albiol and midfielder Jorginho should both return to the starting eleven.

There are no further doubts for Napoli, who kept their Scudetto chase alive with a dramatic comeback win over Chievo last weekend.

Arkaduisz Milik, scorer of the Partenopei’s first against the Flying Donkeys, should start on the bench as he continues to regain form and fitness after missing much of the season with a knee injury.

Probable Line-ups (from Gazzetta dello Sport)

Milan: Donnarumma; Calabria, Zapata, Musacchio, Rodriguez; Kessiè, Biglia, Bonaventura; Suso, Calhanoglu, Kalinic

Napoli: Reina; Maggio, Koulibaly, Albiol, Hysaj; Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik; Callejon, Mertens, Insigne
