Mauro Icardi has set a new personal best of 25 Serie A goals and followed in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo.
The Inter hitman only turned 25 in February, but with this evening’s strike against Cagliari has taken his career total to 106 Serie A goals in 185 appearances.
It’s a new personal best, having found the net 24 times last season.
Icardi is also the first Inter player to score at least 25 goals in one top flight campaign since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2008-09 and Ronaldo in 1997-98.
