Tickets for Roma’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Liverpool at the Olimpico on May 2 have officially sold out online.

It comes after 35,000 more tickets were made available for purchase on Wednesday morning, with 22,000 already sold.

Around 100 fans were queuing outside the ticket office overnight with sleeping bags to ensure they did not miss out.

Just three hours and 30 minutes after the sale started, Roma’s official website announced the event was ‘sold out’.

However, Il Romanista reports the message only applied for its online allocation and that tickets can still be bought from official club shops.
