Milan have reportedly been offered Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

According to Tuttosport, Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli was offered Sokratis by various intermediaries.

The Greece international is no stranger to the Rossoneri, having played seven times for the club during the 2010-11 campaign.

However, he failed to displace the likes of Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva and went on to join Werder Bremen, before Dortmund in the summer of 2013.

Sokratis’ contract with BVB expires next year, but the newspaper notes he is ready to leave the club once the season is out.

On the other hand, the Diavolo would not be able to afford the €15m that Dortmund are ‘at least’ holding out for.
