Inter have reportedly made Villarreal and Italy midfielder Roberto Soriano a priority target this summer.
According to AS, Soriano’s agent has approached Villarreal over the player’s availability, with Inter showing an interest in his client.
The Bayern Munich youth product joined the Yellow Submarine from Sampdoria in a €14m deal two years ago and impressed in his debut campaign, scoring 10 goals and assisting seven.
However, the 27-year-old’s role at La Ceramica has since diminished due to two separate injuries in his second season.
With that in mind, the newspaper believes Villarreal are open to a sale, should the Nerazzurri match their asking price.
Calciomercato.com endorses the report, explaining the Beneamata are in the market for a central midfielder.
