“Let’s not forget it’s a football match and we come here with hunger and readiness to work,” Florenzi told Mediaset Premium.
“We want to put in a great performance. We’re in the Champions League semi-final and we didn’t get here by chance. We earned it and intend to get another great result.”

Roma used the three-man defence for the 3-0 triumph over Barcelona and adopt it again this evening.

“The Coach makes the choices, we just have to adapt to what he says and follow him all the way.”

Undoubtedly, thoughts go back to the 1984 European Cup Final, when Liverpool beat Roma on penalties at the Stadio Olimpico.

“I think it’s at the very least not in our minds, so we leave it off the field, even if we know many fathers – including my own – remember that night with bitterness.

“This is another semi-final, they are two very different things.”
