Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s season is over and he’s out of the England World Cup squad after an injury against Roma.
He was stretchered off in pain during last night’s 5-2 Champions League semi-final victory at Anfield.
A statement from the club has now confirmed he has sustained a knee ligament injury and “is set to miss the remainder of the campaign for Liverpool, as well as the World Cup finals in Russia with England.”
