Napoli have “asked for information” on Bernd Leno and the goalkeeper reportedly told Bayer Leverkusen he wants to leave for the €20m clause.
Leno had already been heavily linked with the Partenopei last season and again in January.
According to SportBild, the 26-year-old has told Bayer Leverkusen he intends to leave this summer.
He has a release clause in his contract worth €20m, but the deadline to activate it is on April 30.
“Napoli asked for information on Leno and it was given to them, then it’s up to the club to decide what to do,” intermediary agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Crc.
“Whether it’s a yes or a no, I’m sure Napoli will make themselves heard and so far we haven’t been told a verdict, one way or the other.
“I’ve not seen any truth in the rumours of Atletico Madrid interest.”
