According to Corriere dello Sport, Sarri has yet to decide whether he will remain in charge of Napoli next season, while Monaco are still ‘pressing’ for the 58-year-old, who has an 8m release clause until May 31.

The newspaper adds it would not pose a problem for the Ligue 1 club, despite their vice-President recently declaring Leonardo Jardim was staying at the helm.

Although Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis having ‘no intention’ of losing the former Empoli boss, Il Corriere notes his board ‘doesn’t want to be caught unprepared’ and has drawn up a list of potential candidates.

The first is Giampaolo, who has established Sampdoria in European contention, while exhibiting a style of play similar to Sarri’s Partenopei.

He is joined by Fonseca, who masterminded Shakhtar Donetsk to a place in the Champions League last 16 at Napoli’s expense earlier in the season.

Finally, Napoli would have eyes on 32-year-old Tedesco, who was born in Italy and has guided Schalke to second in the Bundesliga.
