Mario Mandzukic had circa 10 stitches to his shin by a plastic surgeon after the injury caused by Matias Vecino in Inter–Juventus.
Vecino was sent off for the tackle, which left a visible large gash in the Croatia international’s right leg.
A statement from Juventus confirmed he had been visited by a specialist overnight, who put in circa 10 stitches – external and internal – to suture the wound.
This means the striker is “a strong doubt” to feature against Bologna next Saturday.
