Roma have reportedly agreed a deal with Benfica to sign Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca.

According to Corriere della Sera and Fotomac, Roma are now free to discuss personal terms with Talisca, although the newspaper does not disclose any details about the agreement they have struck with Benfica.

The 24-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas, winning back-to-back Turkish titles and prompting praise from Giallorossi sporting director Monchi.

However, there are doubts over the Istanbul giants’ ability to finance their €21m option to buy the attack-minded ace, who has also been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers due to their association with super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Il Corriere adds Roma are also pursuing Fiorentina pair Jordan Veretout and Nikola Milenkovic to bolster their midfield and defence, while Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos ‘remains the dream’.
