Former Roma legend Marcos Cafu believes an early goal can bring out “some weak spots in the Liverpool side” in tonight’s Champions League semi-final.

The first leg ended 5-2 at Anfield and the return is this evening at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

“It’s hard to say there are weak spots in either side, as they’ve both done very well this season both domestically and in the Champions League,” Cafu told Roma TV.

“It’s hard to say there are weak spots in either side, as they’ve both done very well this season both domestically and in the Champions League,” Cafu told Roma TV.

“They are in the semi-finals, it’s hard to find weaknesses. Liverpool had 30 devastating minutes in the first leg that made Roma suffer so much and managed to score five goals.

“Yet, in just seven minutes towards the end, Roma were able to score two goals at Anfield.

“If we are able to get an early goal, then we can find some weak spots in the Liverpool side.”
