It’s reported Juventus have contacted Carlo Ancelotti about a return, but there’s nothing definitive at this stage.

The former Milan Coach spent two-and-a-half seasons with the Bianconeri, but was sacked in the summer of 2001 after failing to win any trophies bar the 1999 Intertoto Cup.

“Ancelotti has been sought out by many clubs, even if not with definitive offers,” Alessandro Alciato, who co-wrote Ancelotti’s autobiography, said on Sky.

“It’s a suggestive hypothesis regarding Juventus. It would be a return, it’s an idea. There’s an excellent relationship with [President Andrea] Agnelli, and a good relationship with the current directors.

“The relationship with the fans is between bad and non-existent.”

Any move would be dependent on Allegri's future, while Ancelotti has also been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.
