Hellas Verona have mathematically been relegated to Serie B along with Benevento following their 4-1 defeat to Milan.

They were practically doomed by last week’s home loss to SPAL and would only postpone their fate with a victory at San Siro.

Verona were promoted after securing second place in Serie B last season behind SPAL, while Benevento came up via the play-offs.

They managed only seven wins, four draws and 24 defeats this term, scoring 29 goals and conceding 75.
