It’s reported Max Allegri will stick with his recent 4-3-2-1 approach, using Cuadrado as a very attacking right-back with Kwadwo Asamoah on the left providing more coverage.

Stephan Lichtsteiner and Alex Sandro are alternatives to those roles.

Miralem Pjanic returns after he missed the win over Bologna through suspension, while Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala can support centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain.

Allegri could always opt for a reshuffle with Mandzukic, Cuadrado and even Federico Bernardeschi eager to start in attacking roles, but fitness levels could be decisive.

Milan have Lucas Biglia in the squad following a back injury, but is very unlikely to be risked in the circumstances, so Locatelli is favourite to take over in midfield rather than Riccardo Montolivo.

Suso and Calhanoglu are guarantees, with teenage striker Cutrone likely to get the nod rather than Nikola Kalinic or Andre Silva.

Probable line-ups
