Medhi Benatia believes “Juventus are even stronger than last year” and dreams of scoring in the Champions League final.

The Bianconeri came within 90 minutes of the treble last season, but lost Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci over the summer.

Despite the departures of those key men though, the centre-back believes he’s in a stronger side now.

“Juventus are even stronger than last year, I truly believe that,” Benatia said in an interview with JTV.

“The boss [Max Allegri] makes a lot of changes, we’ve all played and the team has always done well.

“That’s very important for us, it means there’s the right atmosphere in the dressing room and we all have to work so we’ll always be ready.

“We don’t have an easy group in the Champions League, but we can still finish top in the end, even if the most important thing is to qualify.

“Now we just have to try and take maximum points in the Champions League, then we’ll see what Barcelona do.

“We have Olympiakos and then we go to Bergamo [to face Atalanta] which will not be an easy game, above all facing those opponents away from home.

“I think we have the ability to win those two games, then I’ll think about the national team.

“A dream? I’d say a goal in the Champions League final.”
